Cyber Talk with 10x National Security

Registration

SOSSEC, Inc. is hosting a Cyber Talk in conjunction with the Project Manager Defensive Cyber Operations, COBRA OTA, inviting DOD, SOSSEC members, and interested companies for an informational and educational discussion led by 10x National Security.

Date
17 July 2025 at 1 p.m. ET

Event Title
Next Generation Compute and Data Processing Technologies

Speakers
Duane Shugars, Industry Advisor – Cyber Operations and Data Processing
Brian Knobbs, Industry Advisor – Cyber Operations and Data Processing
John Eubank, Industry Advisor – Cyber Operations and Data Processing

Event Description
Today’s Cyber Protection Teams face an asymmetric, ever-adapting adversary. While attack surfaces balloon across hybrid cloud, tactical edge, and enterprise networks, the response pipeline remains brittle, constrained by legacy compute, fragmented telemetry, and human-machine disconnects. In this Cyber Talk, we will explore next-generation compute and data processing technologies, as operational enablers.

We’ll examine how mission-informed advancements in high-speed distributed detection (REDHOUND), adaptive sensor fusion and behavioral analytics (VDetect), immersive multi-form collaboration (Voxaverse), and mission-operator co-adaptive interfaces (Vortex HMI) are collapsing the distance between insight and action. These tools aren’t just innovations, they are tactical accelerators, proven in mission rehearsal and threat emulation.

This session emphasizes integration over isolation. We will unpack hard-won lessons from teaming across government, academia, and industry to build operational capability, not just software. Attendees will walk away with a clearer understanding of:

  • How compute-native detection pipelines reduce time-to-containment in complex threat environments
  • What the next generation of compute at the edge looks like with a specific look at wearables and the integration of ARM and GPU based architectures
  • What real-time cyber terrain awareness looks like when contextualized in mission space
  • Why next-gen HMI matters in operator-centric workflows, especially in high-stakes DCO mission sets
  • Where emerging standards are converging with next-gen telemetry

We will focus on how novel integration of compute, data, and interface design can deliver proven impact for the warfighter. This conversation is designed for DCO stakeholders tasked with evolving operational readiness, bridging doctrinal gaps, and outpacing adversaries who no longer play by old rules.

Who Should Attend?
This event is open to the public for those eager to enhance the effectiveness of the Department of the Army Defense Cyber Operations (DCO) cyberspace and cybersecurity infrastructure through critical research, experiments, development, testing, and the development of innovative technologies. US Government (military and civilian), contractors, SOSSEC members, and non-members are encouraged and welcome to attend to learn more about successful technology collaboration from these Cyber Talk briefings. The recommended audience is program managers, development teams, engineers, architects, security managers, security specialists, system administrators, and analysts who work in DoD cyberspace.

About The Consortium
The Army’s Cyber Operations Broad Responsive Agreement (COBRA) aims to spur innovative development, demonstration, and expedited delivery of prototypes for Warfighter readiness. When awarded an Other Transaction Authority (OTA), there is a requirement to join the System of Systems Consortium (SOSSEC), the consortium manager for Program Executive Office – Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors (PEO IEW&S). For more information on joining the consortium, please go to www.sossecinc.com.
