Intel: Cryptology playing critical roles in security, data processing, and hybrid cloud data integrity

Event Description
1445 – 1545 Speaker 1: Mr. Darren Pulsipher, Intel Public Sector Chief Solution Architect
As the COVID 19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of remote work and cloud technologies, organizations set aside traditional security and deployment techniques for more agile processes. This accelerated movement left technological and process gaps that are just now being felt by IT organizations. Areas most impacted from this rapid response to covid include security, reliability, and cost management. These gaps have not gone unnoticed; cyber-adversaries have identified and leveraged these gaps to attack previously protected workloads. Additionally, as more workloads moved to the cloud, reliability has decreased from the standard 99.9% uptime as cloud service providers suffered from outages due to missteps and rapid growth. This session explores hybrid cloud strategies using people, processes, and technology that address these gaps and helps organizations continue to move forward quickly while protecting their assets,
increasing their workload reliability, and still managing their costs.

1545 – 1600 Break

1600 – 1700 Speaker 2: Mr. David Richard, Intel Senior Data Scientist for Edge Processing
Cyber Security is prevalent in all electronic situations, from embedded IOT mobile devices and vehicles, factory pumps and motors, all the way to the cloud. Solutions are embedded into supply and manufacturing, features on devices, communications, and network systems, infrastructure SW, applications, through user behaviors and policy. The monitoring, forensics, and remediation of cyber situations is as much a real-time big data problem as it is a human problem. It is critical to facilitate collaboration on technology solutions across the industry and with government to improve security capabilities at the Edge.
