Event Title
Enabling Rapid Response to Novel Threats with Cyber AI Factories

Speakers:
Carolyn Duby, Field Chief Technology Officer at Cloudera Government Solutions Inc.
Jason Bongard , Practice Director, Cloudera Government Solutions Inc.

Event Description

Cyber defenders face increasing challenges in countering the ever-evolving threats posed by persistent attackers. While AI excels at detecting anomalies, it is often embedded in products, offering limited configuration options and minimal transparency. When such AI fails to detect a threat, defenders are left waiting for vendor updates or turning to alternative tools. This presentation outlines a cost-effective strategy for building and deploying AI-powered detection capabilities using open-source solutions, without requiring an army of programmers.

Who Should Attend?
This event is open to the public for those eager to enhance the effectiveness of the Department of the Army Defense Cyber Operations (DCO) cyberspace and cybersecurity infrastructure through critical research, experiments, development, testing, and the development of innovative technologies. The US Government (military and civilian), contractors, SOSSEC members, and non-members are encouraged and welcome to attend these Cyber Talk briefings to learn more about successful technology collaboration. The recommended audience is program managers, development teams, engineers, architects, security managers, security specialists, system administrators, and analysts who work in DoD cyberspace.
